Will this machine allow me to turn-down (i.e., 'finish') soft glass rods or plates, that are typically 1 to 2 mm oversize in diameter to final diameter, with a spec of plus/minus 0.1 mm? (NOTE: starting core glass rod diameters anywhere between 15 and 65 mm and starting rod lengths between 12 mm and 70 mm)? My company manufacturers 1000's of finished rods (plates) per year.
Also, if yes to above. Will this machine allow me to 'stack' cored-plates (discs) together in some manner, so that they can all be turned to final diameter in one machining operation. For instance: stack 4 glass plates (discs) which are 27 mm diameter by 15 mm thick and turn all 4 at once to 25 mm, plus/minus 0.1 mm? -
