The Castle Pocket Cutting Machine first routes a clean pocket and then drills a pilot hole from the edge to the pocket at 6°. This low screw angle produces very little shifting force, eliminating the need for expensive and space consuming clamping systems. The low screw angle reduces screw breakout and splitting which saves sanding belts and minimizes rejects.
